Carlos V dedicated his life to unite the
cultural, social heterogeneity and
economic inherited of its ancestors, with its universalist and unionist
vocation he gave to Spain an European dimension.
Alfonso X, the wise person, was promotional of the arts and sciences,
developing an important western cultural work of the time and settling
down a bridge between saberes classic Greek and Latin. Fruit of the cultural
interest of Alfonso X was the creation of the School of Translators
of Toledo, where they coexisted Arab, Jewish and Christian.
The figure of the Duke of Dawn is between most
important of history
of the Spain of s. XVI. The Duke of Dawn would have an outstanding
military
and political paper when defending the paper of Spain in Europe during
the reign of Felipe II. Between its warlike participation they
emphasize those of Italy and Flandes.
The figure of the Rodrigo horseman Diaz de Vivar "the Valiant Cid"
arises
in s. XI, between the fights of the kingdoms of Castile, Galicia and
Leon.
The Cid was the prototype of horseman and of loyal vasal to its king
Alfonso VI,
with whom I fight in the conquest of Toledo. The Cid was a soldier
of singular
value, its life was a continuous fight next to its sword Tizona Cid
and Colada Cid.
