Arm Protectors - Steel - Ref 300348

The vambrace (from aván, contraction of avante, in front, and arm) or forearm bracer was a constitutive piece of armor, which served to cover and defend the forearm. It was attached to the armguard (or arm brace) by the shinbone.

This pair of steel arm guards are beautifully shaped and lined with leather with straps on the inside for a snug fit.

The lower part of the arm was one of the main targets of the sword since the head and hands were protected by armor. On many occasions, the protectors were the only piece of armor worn, most often with a chain mail shirt. This pair of steel arm guards are perfect in conjunction with a wide variety of period costumes and weapons. They have straps on the inside to offer a perfect fit.
