1716605402 Imperial Krefeld helmet, steel and brass
"Emperor"s helmet, from a find near the gate of the camp and subsequently Fort Gelduba (Krefeld-Gellep, Germany).
Built between 12 and 9 BC, it played an important role in the Batavia 69/70 N.
Chr.
It existed until the fifth century.
The helmet combines various stylistic elements in a unique way:
& quot; eyes & quot; -Ornamente with the raised students (as with the known pre-Roman helmets), the rudimentary raised eyebrow lines (such as the Gallic Imperial type) and the cross-shaped reinforcements of the Italic Imperial types.
Neck protector with angled decorations, handle and "Tabula ansata".
The lack of the severely damaged original jaw pieces were reconstructed along the Imperial hull lines.
