ULF-SD-09 Medieval steel shield with internal pad
The ULFBERTH® team has tackled this problem and finally brought a much more authentic rebuild on the market with this scutum.
The size and the vault correspond to the Roman shields of approximately 40 - 200 AD.
The hump of the shield (Umbo) and the outline of the shield are made of tinned brass and, therefore, very close to the original applications of tinned bronze.
Only the fixation of the hump of the shield is made for practical reasons with screws and round screw caps.
The back of the shield is reinforced with wooden strips.
