The Fällkniven RL1 is an elegant knife, a tribute to one of the most influential knife makers in history: R.W. Loveless. He is known for being the inventor of the droppoint blade shape, and for dozens of other innovations in the knife world. What characterizes his work are the elegant lines of the design. Almost minimalist. Without ever compromising functionality. Fällkniven founder Peter Hjortberger attempted to do just that with the RL1.

Interestingly, it was Bob Loveless himself who claimed to have been inspired by Scandinavian knife designs. The fact that the Swedish brand Fällkniven is now inspired by his work comes full circle.

The Fällkniven RL1 can be opened with two hands. A subtle notch in the nail ensures that you have enough grip to open the blade. A linerlock ensures that the knife does not accidentally close.
