European Baldric - Left-handed - Brown - Ref 200380

This is a classic accessory for carrying a sword or other weapon, but it also looks great on its own! The use of baldric to carry the sword was the favored choice of Knights since Biblical times and remained until the 17th century. While much of the sword"s weight rested on the hip, the shoulder strap provided additional support from the opposite side of the body. This added balance and comfort. Assyrians, Romans and Vikings are shown in contemporary art wearing baldric.

This European Baldric can be used with any Windlass sword and suits any period. The hanger is left open so you can adjust it to the sword of your choice.

Made from oil-tanned leather, this baldric is brown with a brass buckle.
