Work Sharp Guided sharpening system
The overwhelming success of the Worksharp Knife and Tool Sharpener in particular impressively documents the inventiveness and innovative strength of the US company Darex when it comes to the development of knife sharpeners. With the GSS ("Guided Sharpening System"), Darex is now opening up the area of ??manual sharpening systems. And Darex wouldn't be Darex if completely new paths weren't also explored here.
The special feature of the GSS, in addition to the angle guide that is usual with Darex, is above all the sharpening surface that can be rotated around the longitudinal axis. This offers the unique advantage that the user does not have to adapt to the course of the cutting edge when guiding the blade with the holding bracket, but the blade can always be held at right angles to the sharpening direction, regardless of the course of the cutting edge, because the pivoted sharpening surface follows the course of the cutting edge automatically and automatically follows. This simplifies handling considerably, as the cutting edge angle can be kept constant much more easily during sharpening thanks to the straight-line movement than with a rigid system where you have to follow the cutting edge path. This means that even less experienced users can easily create a razor-sharp edge.
Secure stand thanks to rubber feet. Interchangeable diamond plates in 2 grits (320 and 600) for pre-grinding and fine grinding . Additional ceramic insert with 3 surfaces (fine, coarse, groove) for recurve blades , serrated edges, etc. Angle ramps of 17° and 20° ensure a fixed starting position when sharpening. The angle ramps as well as the sharpening surfaces can be changed in a matter of seconds without tools. 42-year manufacturer's guarantee (wearing parts excluded).
