Jon Snow's Longclaw Sword Replica Game of Thrones

The Longclaw sword is a Valyrian steel bastard sword belonging to Jon Snow in the Game of Thrones series. It is one of the most iconic weapons in the story, loaded with symbolism and meaning.

Originally, the Longclaw sword was an ancestral sword of House Mormont, belonging to Jeor Mormont, the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. This sword was passed down through generations in his family, though it was intended for his son, Jorah Mormont. However, after Jorah's exile for committing crimes, Jeor took the sword with him to the Wall. When Jeor observes Jon's qualities as a leader and warrior, he decides to give him Longclaw as a gesture of trust and respect, marking his destiny as a born leader.

Longclaw is a bastard sword, longer than an ordinary sword, but lighter than a greatsword, making it ideal for an agile and versatile fighting style. Its Valyrian steel blade makes it one of the few weapons in the Seven Kingdoms capable of killing White Walkers.

Before giving it to Jon, Jeor had the pommel of the sword changed, replacing the bear, symbol of House Mormont, with the head of a silver direwolf, in honour of House Stark and Jon.

Longclaw becomes a symbol of Jon Snow and accompanies him at some of the most pivotal moments in the saga, including the Battle of Austere House and the Battle of the Bastards. With this sword, Jon demonstrates his skill as a warrior and his ability to lead.
