Features
The blade steel is made from an extremely advanced Swedish powder (Elmax from Uddeholm) with a convex cutting edge for improved performance.
The handles are made of Ironwood, legally harvested in the southwestern USA. Due to its high density (1.2 kg/dm³) it does not float. It is a strong and durable wood.
We advise you to keep the knife dry and clean, and we do NOT recommend using oil or grease around the blade bolt.
The design of this knife follows the three F's: Form Follows Function, a Scandinavian attitude that has been followed for 100 years.
"We don't like a lot of extra details, but we are attracted to handle the knife by its clean, classic lines," says the Swedish brand.
Finally, this 40th anniversary set includes a circular medallion coated in pure 24-carat gold showing Three Crowns, the small Swedish national coat of arms. Fällkniven AB has permission from the Swedish State Herald to use the Three Crowns.
The company has also been a supplier to the Swedish Royal Court since 1999 and therefore has the opportunity to use the Grand National Coat of Arms, the personal coat of arms of His Majesty the King. Therefore, in 2024 they are not only celebrating 40 years in the cutlery industry, but also 25 years as a supplier to the royal court.
