Ka-Bar Fighting/Utility USMC 1218 Knife
The Ka-Bar USMC Fighting/Utility Knife 1218 is the version of the legendary 1217 knife with a mixed edge: smooth / serrated.
It is a knife that was chosen in 1942 as a survival issue for the Marines and has since been a very reliable combat tool for decades.
The serrated blade is made of 1095 Cro-Van steel, which offers excellent hardness.
The steel is not stainless, but contains a black coating to extend its life.
The rigidity of the pommel allows it to be used as a hammer.
The grip of the handle is very comfortable thanks to the leather rings.
Leather sheath included, with US Navy logo.
