Features
Andúril, known as the Flame of the West, is Aragorn's legendary sword in The Lord of the Rings. Originally forged as Narsil by the dwarf master Telchar, it belonged to King Elendil and witnessed the fall of Sauron at the end of the Second Age.
During the Last Alliance, Narsil was broken when Elendil fell in battle, but with one of its fragments Isildur cut the One Ring from the Dark Lord's hand. Centuries later, the fragments were preserved by the heirs of the north until the sword was reforged in Rivendell, reborn as Andúril.
Wielded by Aragorn, Andúril became a symbol of the return of the king, the hope of the free peoples, and the light that rose against darkness in the War of the Ring.
