Saber of Spanish Cavalry of end of s. XIX, used
in the reign of Alfonso XIII.
The Saber turned out to be a weapon hard inspired and combining
French models to obtain one better grip.
The saber of Confederates
has its origin in the French light cavalry of 1816.
In 1860 approximately, it was introduced like slight saber for the Cavalry of
the United States, being used preferredly by the confederates
troops of the South.
Genghis Khan was son of Yesugei, ringleader of a
small nomadic tribe
of the east of Mangolia, Chinese Empire. The name Genghis Khan is I title
of prince whom to him their followers granted, its authentic name
was Temudjin. To the thirteen years one became tribal head and after
defeating to the Merkits and the Tartars governor of the Eastern Mangolia
proclaimed itself (1203) and western (1206). The dominions of Genghis Khan
extended by present China, Korea, India, Iran, Iraq, Turkey and part
of Russia and European countries.
The boarding sabers were the
weapon more used by the ship's crew
in case of boarding, since she was very manageable and effective.
Used
by French Real Navy before Napoleon and also by the Real
English Navy.
The Briquet sabre is a short
saber of easy handling as other cutting weapons
of the time have their origin in the principles of the
French Revolution.
