Very elaborate reconstruction of a late-Roman cavalry helmet that was excavated in Deurne, Holland.

The rich ornaments suggest that the user was a very important officer.

A Roman coin, which is also found next to the helmet, bears the date 319, so the helmet probably dates from the beginning of the 4th century.
